A Night of Community, Impact, and New Beginnings: Recapping Where Hope Begins
On June 19, friends, supporters, partners, and advocates gathered at the Catalina Club at Wrigley Field for an unforgettable evening at Where Hope Begins.
This night became a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose: ending child exploitation through prevention.
Throughout the evening, guests heard stories of hope, resilience, and transformation from the children and communities we serve in Uganda. Together, we reflected on the impact that has already been made and looked ahead to the opportunities that lie before us.
The heart behind this event was simple: creating a safe place for more children to thrive. As Kingdom Home continues to grow, so does the need for additional space to welcome children who are currently waiting for care and support. Funds raised through Where Hope Begins will help make that vision a reality by supporting the development of a new children's home in Uganda.
Because of the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, bid in the auction, and shared our mission, we are thrilled to announce that together we raised more than $148,000 toward opening a new children's home.
This milestone represents far more than a number. It represents children who will have a safe place to live. It represents access to education, healthcare, nutritious meals, and caring adults who will walk alongside them. It represents opportunities for children to grow, learn, and build bright futures.
The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring stories, and a collective commitment to creating lasting change. From the silent auction and fellowship to hearing firsthand about the work being done in Uganda, every moment reflected the compassion and generosity of this community.
To our event sponsors, volunteers, donors, attendees, and supporters: thank you. Your partnership makes this work possible. Every gift, every prayer, every conversation, and every act of support helps move our mission forward.
While the event may be over, the impact is just beginning. There is still work to be done as we continue raising funds for the new children's home and investing in prevention programs that help children build stronger futures. We invite you to stay connected, continue following the journey, and help us share the mission with others.
Together, we are creating opportunities, restoring hope, and building a future where more children can thrive.
From all of us at Kingdom Home, thank you for being part of Where Hope Begins. Hope begins with you.
