Help us end child exploitation through prevention.
Our Mission
Kingdom Home’s mission is to end child exploitation through prevention. We do this by identifying and caring for children in Uganda who are currently living in or are at risk of being exploited. The most common forms of exploitation are child sex slavery and forced child labor. Kingdom Home is a place of hope, where all the children’s needs are met. We equip the children in our care to live abundant lives so they can become difference makers in their communities.
We have three prevention homes that serve both girls and boys who were once at risk.
Located in rural Uganda, Kingdom Home is situated on 14 beautiful acres, where our children can grow and thrive.
Our children live safe and free in our homes with love, care and access to education.

Our Story
-

2018
Matthew and Ashley Boyd founded Kingdom Home, established the organization as a 501(c)(3), assembled a Board of Directors, and welcomed the first 36 girls into our care.
-

2019-2020
We expanded to serve more than 100 children, welcoming both boys and girls into the Kingdom Home family. During this time, we purchased 13 acres of land in Uganda, installed a water well, and began construction on three permanent homes.
-

2021
Children moved into the homes on the Kingdom Home property, marking the first time our entire organization lived together as one unified, family-style community.
-

2022-2023
As our children continued to grow and thrive, we strengthened our care model by hiring two full-time counselors and expanding our fully Ugandan leadership team. We also grew our stateside staff and implemented regular third-party financial oversight to further our commitment to accountability and transparency.
-

2024-2025
More than 30 children transitioned into freedom, and we welcomed 42 new children into the Kingdom Home family. We completed construction on a multi-purpose building and officially transitioned from Community Based Organization status to Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) status in Uganda.
-

A Look Into the Future...
In 2026-2027, construction will begin on a young adult home designed to support those transitioning toward independence. We also plan to purchase additional land and build a new children’s home, expanding our ability to serve vulnerable children for years to come.
